Mollies ‘budget-luxe’ hotel with ‘American motel vibes’ is coming to Manchester this year

Mollie’s Hotel is coming to Manchester, setting up shop in the Old Granada Studios, an iconic city landmark well overdue for a makeover.
Partnering with the new Soho House, the 1950s television studios, where the Beatles and Sex Pistols had their first TV gigs, will soon house Mollie’s Manchester from 2024.
The ambitious project at Old Granada Studios includes refurbishing the existing office building, adding a vertical extension with a pool and rooftop bar, and a two-storey extension for a restaurant and more rooms.
Dreamed up by Nick Jones MBE, Mollie’s brings a bold ‘budget-luxe’ offering to the city – a fusion of classic American motel vibes with modern amenities.
Expect inviting neon signs, top-notch interiors by Soho House, and contemporary rooms featuring natural oak flooring and Conran furniture.
Mollie’s promises to transform affordable travel with its disruptive vision.

The third Mollie’s Motel, founded by Nick Jones, is transforming the former Granada TV studios in Manchester into a ‘budget-luxe’ haven with 128 rooms, a 140-cover diner, communal workspace, and the added charm of being under the same roof as Soho House.

Fresh off a £15m investment in Cribbs Causeway, Bristol, the news of the third location in Manchester aligns with Mollie’s immediate expansion plans across the UK and beyond.
The brand aims to redefine budget stays with style, character, and comfort.
Mollie’s Manchester, slated to launch in 2022, promises a vibrant experience in the heart of the city.
Soho House Manchester
The new Soho House, which will be situated above Mollie’s, adds an exclusive touch with a members-only club and rooftop pool on the top floors of the TV studio.
