Outdoor barber shop pops up on The Lawn at Spinningfields

Barber on The Lawn is a pop-up hosted by Spinningfields salon Mr Male Grooming every Thursday and Friday throughout the summer – Manchester weather permitting – and it launches today at 4.30pm.
“We joked about setting up an outdoor salon in Spain,” says co-founder Karl Lewis, “but then we thought – why not Spinningfields?”
And why not? With the prospect of a gent’s haircut or hot towel shave under the Manchester sun, Barber on The Lawn really is unique.
“As far as I’m aware no one has ever tried it before,” says Karl. And it’s a win-win for Karl and his crew. “We all love our jobs and being outside!”
Mr Male Grooming have been Spinningfields’ resident salon since 2011 and have 25 years’ collective experience behind them. They offer appointments and walk-ins Monday to Friday. Now they’ll be offering walk outs, too – onto the lawn.
Get down there today for the launch from 4.30pm with drinks at The Club House and a BBQ courtesy of The Kitchens’ Bangers and Bacon.
Then it’s every Thursday and Friday 12-4pm. Services include a cut and finish or full shave for £15 or £18 with a drink.
