A new hotel is opening on Deansgate next month – and with it comes a new all-day bar and restaurant complete with a large terrace.

Motley at the new Qbic hotel will welcome guests, locals and four-legged friends to eat, drink, play, work and hang out.

The much anticipated 70-seater outdoor terrace, landscaped with lush foliage, will open on 1st May.

Guests will be able to enjoy the sunshine, or if the weather turns, large awnings and heaters will keep everyone snug.

Then on 17th May, the hotel will open to the public (with an earlier May opening date for key workers).

By day, guests can pull up a comfy chair and connect digitally and socially, with barista brews on hand to power through the to-do list.

The all-day menu, created by head chef Nacho Llinares, previously with Iberica, is Antipodean-style and includes breakfast dishes, sandwiches, vegan and meat burgers, open flat breads and sustainability sourced fish tacos.

Guests can try a selection of draft beers from local breweries that are on tap, or have a member of the bar team craft an original cocktail.

Dog treats (non-alcoholic, of course) are available to ensure furry companions aren’t left out.

By night, say owners, the space will come into its own with fun cocktails, a mostly vegan contemporary wine list and a fuss-free menu that is ideal for groups.

Visitors can listen to some classic Manchester tunes, and the party can carry on late into the night – especially in the private dining room and karaoke booth.

The lives of well-known Manchester figures from Alan Turing to Emmeline Pankhurst will be reflected in Motley’s abstract wall and fabrics by local designer BOBO 1325, bright neon lighting and standout interior features.

The fourth property by the hotel group, Qbic Manchester joins sister hotels Qbic London, Brussels, and Amsterdam.

All the lighting throughout is LED and energy efficient, the roof solar panels are a constant source of green energy and the showers feature an innovative eco-friendly design that creates a water-efficient high-pressure shower.

The Qbic Coin concept rewards those who do not need their rooms cleaned on a daily basis with free drinks.

Motley terrace will open on 1st May at Qbic, 115-121 Deansgate, M3 2NW. You can find out more here.
