Swanky Cheshire estate Mottram Hall has revealed its new look following a huge £15 million makeover.

Owners Champneys, who first took over the estate in 2018, have invested a significant chunk in modernising the elegant redbrick mansion, which dates all the way back to 1721.

A spa pioneer since 1925, they’ve spent £10 million on the 33,000 sq ft spa alone – installing new state-of-the-art facilities such as a salt steam room, ice fountain, cold room, organic and brechel saunas.

A super modern technogym, panoramic and spin studios are available for those who want to get a sweat on, with monsoon and drench showers designed to boost endorphins as you cool off.

Further new features added as part of the revamp include a 20m covered outdoor pool equipped with advanced thermal experiences, a hydro pool, and poolside private cabanas to offer visitors ultimate privacy.

SmartSoft eco towels adorn 15 tranquil treatment rooms as well as the beauty lounge, which offers manicures, pedicures and makeup treatments as well as the UK’s first Champneys barbershop.

Meanwhile, a new Spa cafe and restaurant offer panoramic views for guests to enjoy healthy snacks and nutritious dining.

Both spa day and overnight guests will be invited to use the state of the art facilities, which include thermal experiences by DaleSauna, and indulge in treatments at their leisure.

Designed by leading architects Darling Associates and award-winning interior designer Beverley Bayes of Sparc Studios, Mottram Hall’s opulent transformation befits its high-profile clientele making it one of Cheshire’s most stylish hotels and the Champneys spa to be seen in.

The first Champneys Spa in the north of England, it will open this September at Mottram Hall. Bookings are being taken now, starting from just £79pp with lunch included.
