There’s the classic Margherita pizza, and there’s the classic Margarita cocktail.

And now, for one day only, they’re getting together for an intriguing slice of tequila-infused pizza heaven.

Say hello to the world’s first ever Margarita Margherita pizza: a unique fusion of food and drink from Crazy Pedro’s and Jose Cuervo that combines all the ingredients of a Margherita pizza with those of the much-loved tequila cocktail.

To mark National Margarita Day on 22nd February, the delivery-only pizza will be made with dough fermented in Jose Cuervo tequila for over 24 hours.

The tomato sauce will be marinated in triple sec, salt, garlic and Jose Cuervo tequila.

Then there’s toppings of Buffalo mozzarella, fresh basil leaves and grated Parmesan, plus another nod to the cocktail thanks to a garnish of sea salt and fresh lime.

Yes, everything about this pizza screams Margarita… right down to the salt rim.

Plus there’s even a vegan version (limited stocks available).

What’s more, every purchase of the £8 pizza will come with a complimentary special edition pizza-inspired Margarita cocktail.

The drink will combine the sweet and savoury flavours of a traditional Margarita with toppings found in a traditional Margherita pizza.

Ready-mixed, the bottle contains fresh lemon juice, basil, fresh tomatoes and tequila, ready for you to finish off with a garnish of cherry tomatoes and a mozzarella ball on a skewer with basil leaves, ideally in a salt rim glass.

Fans of tequila and Crazy Pedro’s can order now, then deliveries of both the pizza and cocktail will arrive on National Margarita Day on Monday 22nd February.

The Margarita Margherita will be available for delivery only on Monday 22nd February (National Margarita Day) for £8, including a complimentary cocktail. It will be available in selected postcodes across Manchester (M1, M2, M3, M4, M5, M6, M7, M8, M15, M16, M50), from 1pm – 3pm, then 6pm – 10pm. To purchase a pizza, book in advance via the Margarita Margherita website
