A brand-new annual wellbeing festival is launching this summer, to help Mancunians lead healthier and happier lives.

The Manchester Wellbeing Festival in June will feature some of the biggest names in wellness, with classes designed to move our bodies and talks to stimulate our minds.

Highlights include presenters Gemma Atkinson and Vicky Pattison, personal trainers Alice Liveing and Faisal Abdalla, mental health ambassador Dr Alex George, nutritionist Dr Hazel Wallace, and celebrity DJ Fat Tony.

Talks will cover everything from how to improve our mental health, overcome anxiety and build confidence to advice on hormones, nutrition and immunity.

Classes will include yoga, barre and calisthenics to improve posture, define muscles and increase flexibility.

Personal trainer, Women’s Health columnist and bestselling author Alice Liveing will kickstart the day with a strength workout, and will interview Jungle Queen, MasterChef finalist and feminist Vicky Pattison about her book The Secret to Happy.

Actress, fitness guru and Hits Radio host Gemma Atkinson will share her fitness advice on how to feel stronger, healthier, more confident and comfortable in your own body, and will also be signing copies of her books, The Ultimate Body Plan and The Ultimate Body Plan for Mums.

Presenter and UK Government Ambassador for Mental Health, Dr Alex George, will address our modern health issues, while Dr Hazel Wallace, aka The Food Medic, will discuss female health and offer expert advice specifically for women on nutrition, sleep, hormones, PMS, periods and the menopause.

You can also join Faisal Abdalla, who has trained many celebrities including Ellie Goulding and Harry Styles, for a Positive Mental Health workout that will leave you totally energised.

TikTok star and A&E Doctor, Emeka Okorocha, who became a go-to source for healthcare advice during the pandemic, will offer simple lifestyle advice for mind/body health, while Millie Gooch, the founder of the Sober Girl Society and a leading voice in the sobriety movement, will help you find ways to drink less and live more.

Leading Manchester fitness studio BLOK will host classes in Dynamic Vinyasa Yoga, Barre and Calisthenics, and The Kilted Yogi will host a Forrest Yoga class to build strength and stamina.

Bringing together authors, influencers, doctors, fitness instructors, yogis and therapists, Manchester Wellness Festival will offer an exciting day to both inspire and inform.

Manchester Wellbeing Festival will take place at Manchester Central on Saturday 11th June 2022 from 10am – 6pm. Tickets are priced £25 plus booking fee.
