Embark on a wild journey with Operation Ouch!

Following its sell-out success over the February half-term, Operation Ouch! Brains, Bogies and You is back to take families on a hilariously disgusting dive into the world of our senses.
Get ready to venture through a waxy ear canal, navigate sensory rooms, and discover the wonders of sight, sound, touch, taste, and smell.
The adventure culminates in a riotously fun finale as you don a bogie hat and get sneezed out of a giant nose. It’s an experience you won’t forget!
Date: 14th February 2025 – 4th January 2026
Age: Recommended for ages 5 and over. Under 16s must be accompanied by a paying adult.

Ever wondered how your senses compare to those of your furry friends? Follow the interactive sensory trail and test your skills: see if you can sniff out fun like a curious canine.
Join their knowledgeable Explainers at the Tasting Station to uncover how bees experience the world through taste and smell. Step into the Bat Cave to learn about the unique way bats sense their surroundings, and get creative by crafting your very own bat to take home!

Visitors of all ages can unleash their inner scientist in Experiment, the museum’s free interactive gallery.

Create glow-in-the-dark art, explore heat vision with a thermal camera, and marvel at the wonders of magnetic art. Open daily on Level 1 of the New Warehouse, it’s the perfect space for discovery and hands-on learning.
