I Love NHS Day to celebrate key workers with some very special offers

From free bacon naans to money off massages, I Love NHS Day will thank key workers - and also raise money for NHS Charities Together

This weekend, I Love MCR is launching the first ever I Love NHS Day on Sunday 13th June to say “thank you” to NHS staff and key workers for their incredible work.

Proceeds from I Love NHS Day will go to NHS Charities Together, which is the national charity partner of the NHS and supports 240 charity members across the UK.

The £1m they provide daily to the NHS goes towards helping hospitals, ambulances, mental health trusts and many more patient resources.

The date of 13th June is 12 months since the ‘social bubbles’ came into existence after the first lockdown in the UK, which were only achievable thanks to the tireless work and commitment from NHS workers.

And NHS staff and key workers will also be able to get some very special offers across Manchester as an extra “thank you”.

Dishoom is offering a special Matka keyring plus two free breakfast naan cards for all NHS staff on 13th June, in addition to their year-round offer of free chai with an NHS card.

Vietnamese favourites Pho in the Corn Exchange will offer a free bowl of pho for all NHS staff on 13th, while Honest Burgers is offering a 20% discount for all NHS staff.

Don Giovanni, Cibo, Barburrito and Mr Thomas’s Chop House will all be offering 50% off for NHS workers on the day, and The Alchemist is offering 20% off the total food bill for all NHS staff.

Over at Japanese restaurants Teppanyaki Chinatown and Samsi, NHS workers can get 25% off, and Open Kitchen at the People’s History Museum is offering 20% off food and drink from 7th to 13th June, while Hyatt Manchester is offering 2-4-1 pizzas throughout the month.

There’s also 15% off the total food bill for all NHS staff at Dive, and 10% off at new coffee shop 200 Degrees.

And it’s not just discounts on food and drink.

There’s £15 off the first Urban massage treatment for all NHS staff using code ILOVENHSDAY, available until 30th June, as well as a 12% discount for the online store at Sync, which offers the latest Apple products.

There’s 25% of all Christmas parties with Best Parties Ever at Event City for NHS workers in 2021, and all NHS workers will get 50% off escape rooms at Escape Reality from 21st – 25th June as long as they book in advance and use code NHS50 at the time of booking.

And NHS staff and key workers can download the I Love MCR app and upgrade to VIP membership for free to get a host of benefits and more special offers, too.
