Hunkered down under the city’s Mancunian Way flyover, Hatch is home to some of the most creative independent businesses in the city.
Now, up and coming burger aficionados, That Burger Place have joined the raft of food and drink traders for its first city centre site.
The team will be serving up their New York-inspired burgers with one very special one as exclusive to Hatch.
That Burger Place is a family run business that was born in Swinton in 2017 and has gone on to create an enviable reputation as one of UK’s most promising new burger businesses.
A second site is now up and running in Walkden and the team are known for serving up thousands of burgers a week such is demand for their authentic dishes and their secret spice blend.
All the recipes are a closely guarded secret with only a select few people in the ‘know’.
Signature dishes include loaded Kevin Bacon Fries, lightly salted and topped with cheese sauce, bacon rain and bacon mayo, and the California Dreaming burger with double beef, American cheese, bacon rain, diced onion, shredded lettuce, bacon mayo and Big Bob’s sauce, cooked medium and served on a sesame seeded brioche bun.
Their New Yorker burger, voted Manchester’s best burger, comprises of double beef, American cheese, diced onion, shredded lettuce, pickles, tomato, ketchup, mustard and their secret burger sauce.
The exclusive dishes to Hatch include the Homer Doughnut Burger, as a weekly Saturday special.
“From opening our doors almost four years ago in the backstreets of our hometown it’s been our absolute dream to take our brand to the city centre and we cannot believe it’s finally happening with our third site at Hatch,” said That Burger Place on Instagram.

That Burger Place opens at Hatch, Oxford Road, on Thursday 1st July.
