A new chapter is set to begin for Stockport’s most iconic landmark as Royal Nawaab unveils its ambitious plans to transform the Pyramid into a luxurious hospitality destination.

Following the green light from Stockport Metropolitan Council, the landmark will undergo a stunning refurbishment and reopen in early 2025 as a top spot for some fine dining and grand celebrations.

The announcement follows the council’s planning meeting on November 14th, where Royal Nawaab’s bold vision for the site received enthusiastic approval.

Known for their incredible dining experiences in London, the team behind Royal Nawaab is setting the stage for their most impressive venture yet, bringing their signature opulence and world-class service to the North.

How gorgeous does this look?

Royal Nawaab is renowned for reimagining dining beyond the traditional “curry house” stereotype. With expansive spaces designed to host awe-inspiring events, their venues are destinations in themselves.

The Stockport Pyramid, an architectural marvel in Greater Manchester, will soon boast an elegant restaurant seating 350 guests on the ground floor, complemented by three exquisite banqueting suites. These spaces will accommodate events of all sizes, from intimate gatherings of 150 to grand celebrations for up to 700 guests.

“This is a dream come true,” said Mahboob Hussain, from Royal Nawaab.

“The Pyramid has always been an iconic symbol of Stockport for me, living so close by.

“Now, we have the opportunity to turn it into a destination that will attract visitors from across the UK and beyond.

“The attention to detail in our plans is incredible, and we can’t wait to bring this vision to life. This isn’t just a restaurant—it’s an experience.”
