Little Mix

World-conquering girl band Little Mix are aiming to assemble the next big music group – and they’re hoping Manchester will today provide a raft of talented singers on their search.

The girl group who first found fame on The X Factor are in the midst of filming their new prime time talent show – Little Mix, The Search for the BBC.

They are aiming to assemble a brand new band by bringing together talented singers of all genres and backgrounds for the new talent show – with the winners joining them on their summer 2020 tour.

And open auditions will today be held at two Greater Manchester locations in a bid to find the region’s untapped talent.

The BBC has confirmed that the show’s auditions will take place in Heywood today, November 7th, between 11.15am and 12.45pm at A Studios in the town, before heading into central Manchester tonight for open auditions at Walrus bar in the Northern Quarter from 7pm.

Little Mix The Search

The competition is open to anyone aged 16 and over – although under-18s must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at the audition.

You can book a slot for the Heywood auditions by emailing [email protected], but the Walrus auditions will be entirely open and attendees will be dealt with on a first come, first served basis from 7pm at the High Street bar in the Northern Quarter.   So you’re advised to arrive early to avoid disappointment.

Alas, the BBC hasn’t confirmed if the Little Mix girls themselves – Leigh Anne Pinnock, Jesy Nelson, Jade Thirlwall and Perrie Edwards – will be in attendance for this round of auditions.

But successful singers will win through to the next round of the TV show which will air in the new year, and which will see the girls mentor the hopefuls into potential stars.

You can also apply online to take part in the show up until January 30th, 2020 by clicking here.
