Acclaimed WowYauChow launches Rochdale restaurant this week – Stockport and Swinton are next!

WowYauChow Rochdale

It has been winning rave reviews since opening in Altrincham last year, and now the owners of acclaimed Chinese restaurant WowYauChow have revealed big expansion plans.

They will open their second site in Rochdale this week, at the former Cocka Doodle Moo restaurant on Yorkshire Street. And they’ve now confirmed Stockport and Swinton sites will be next.

Opening on Wednesday 15th May, WowYauChow Rochdale will offer a bustling menu of British Chinese favourites and Chinese street food, combined with craft beers and fun cocktails.

Independent restaurant group EatsMeatsWest launched the first of its new Chinese casual dining restaurants in Altrincham in December last year, opening to rave reviews from local media and keen support from residents. They’ve revealed plans to open two more by early 2020 in both Stockport and Swinton.

Henry Yau

The owners of WowYauChow come from a long line of family run Chinese eateries, both past and present.

Working with and developing old family recipes, its managing director Henry Yau has enjoyed exploring his roots whilst embarking on the next stage of the journey with Chinese food.

On opening in Rochdale, Henry said: “We are very grateful having been so well received by our followers at Altrincham, and we are now excited to offer the same experience to the people of Rochdale, allowing us to continue with our mission of introducing Chinese casual dining to my home town of Manchester and then beyond – offering a fun and casual environment in which to enjoy Chinese food whilst aiming to raise the bar and keeping Chinese food relevant and on trend.”

“As with Altrincham, our mission is to give to the great people of Rochdale a relaxed and welcoming venue offering honest, tasty comforting food with great hospitality. We are very serious about our food and service, but as our name suggests, we also have a playful side too!

“Our followers are everything to us, and with our new restaurant, we hope to share in the making of some great memories and put lots of smiles on the faces of those in and around Rochdale.”

WowYauChow opens in Rochdale on Wednesday 15th May, and will also be taking part in the Street Eat festival in Rochdale at the end of May.
