A whopping 14 restaurants across Greater Manchester have been included in the AA Rosette Guide for 2023.
The guide showcases the best of the best in dining across the UK.
Manchester’s food scene has been under fire recently after comments made by Manchester City footballer İlkay Gundogan’s wife – you can read about that here.
It sparked a torrent of rebuttals from chefs and restaurant owners alike, but none stronger than this incredible showing from Manchester’s restaurants in the AA guide, considered one of the most trustworthy going.
Simon Numphud, Managing Director of AA Media, said: “We are delighted to publish the leading guide to the UK’s top dining destinations, with 150 new establishments added to The Restaurant Guide 2023.
“From Northern Stars to the Heart of England, Scotland to the capital, the restaurants in this year’s Guide demonstrate the high quality of culinary experiences across the country, offering delicious food and service of the highest standard.”
The restaurants included in the guide are:
Mana
The Midland Hotel’s fine dining Adam Reid at the French

The Restaurant Guide includes more than 1,400 eateries currently awarded Rosettes for culinary excellence by the AA’s inspectors.
The AA Rosette award, first awarded in 1956, was the first nationwide scheme for assessing the quality of food served by restaurants and hotels.
Now in its 29th edition, The Restaurant Guide 2023 provides foodies with breakdowns of restaurants by county, including a detailed description of each destination, information on latest chef changes, opening times, sample menu prices and images of many of the featured locations.
The Restaurant Guide 2023 is available for £17.99 RRP in bookshops and online here.
