There are only two weeks left to see the 50 life-sized Corgis displayed around Altrincham before they are all brought together at The Bowdon Rooms on Thursday 30th June to be auctioned.
Proceeds from the auction will support community art projects in Altrincham through Inch Arts.
Inch Arts is a social and creative space designed to nurture talent whilst encouraging people to have fun.
They focus is on the positive impact on mental health and well-being through creativity.
The town wide art trail has been organised by Altrincham BID, who produce VisitAltrincham.com, and Inch Arts.
The Corgis will be on guard throughout the town until Wednesday 29th June.
Guides and maps are available in the latest issue of Altrincham Today magazine, and from pick-up points around the town including Inch Arts, The Travel Shop at Altrincham Interchange, Everyman Cinema and The Unicorn.
Corgis you can visit include ‘doG Save the Queen’ by Carl Camera at Maskell + Josephson; ‘Corazana’ by Ruth Fields at The Con Club; ‘The Dog Formerly Known as Prince’ by Jon Joseph at Omni RMS; ‘Lady Wellington’ by Wellington School with Michelle Taube at The Hive by VH Interiors; ‘Wilbs’ by Liv Alice at County Galleries; ‘Queen’ by Russ Meehan at the Grafton Centre; and ‘Lillibet’ by Kate Cheshire & Alex Nolen with the students from Sew Creative.
“We have been overwhelmed by the popularity of the Corgis and our thanks goes to all the artists and businesses who have supported the project,” said Mandy White, Altrincham’s BID Manager.
“We could not believe the immediate demand for places at the auction and have had to move it to a bigger venue to accommodate all of those wishing to attend.
“It has been fantastic to see so many people around the town enjoying the Corgis, if you haven’t yet seen them yet, we’d really encourage you to make a trip to Altrincham”.
If one of the Corgis has captured your heart, tickets for the auction on 30th June 2022 can be reserved on Eventbrite.co.uk. The auction Dogalogue can be downloaded here: visitaltrincham.com.
