Brand new winter igloos have arrived at The Black Friar pub in Salford, just in time for the festive season.

As it is the season to eat, drink and be merry, the limited edition, handmade domes are set to be the ideal spot for a unique winter feasting experience with a twist.

Guests are able to dine in the igloos now, with bookings available throughout the season up until March 2022.

Winter dining shouldn’t be controlled by windy weather and cold, rainy nights – and now, it doesn’t have to be.

Gone are the days of huddling under a heat lamp, as these new winter domes provide the perfect ambience, complete with cosy interiors and a warm, intimate atmosphere.

It’s a chance to enjoy some of the best festive feasting that the North West has to offer in a perfect secluded setting under the stars.

The super snug domes will be located in the beer garden at The Black Friar pub, which is just a five minute walk over the bridge from Deansgate – providing a slice of winter sanctuary in the city.

Available to book completely free of charge for diners, guests will be able to enjoy a private festive feast with the added bonus of starlight dining in a toasty setting.

Each dome accommodates between four to eight people so whether it’s a long lunch, a post-work pick-me-up or a full blown festive celebration, the igloos offer something for everyone this winter party season.

Customers will have the choice of the Black Friar’s traditional menu of elevated pub classics, or the Made for Winter selection with a range of festive themed dishes, such as game terrine and Cheshire turkey ballotine.

Each dome will also be available for drink bookings with a minimum spend charge.

Following a £1.4 million refurbishment over the summer of 2021, the historic Black Friar pub was originally built in 1886 and has been serving the people of Greater Manchester for centuries.

Known as ‘a gem amongst giants’, the Salford venue preserves a fine balance of a traditional pub atmosphere with the benefits of a modern look and feel.
