The Ivy promised a “super party” like no other to celebrate the reopening of its roof terrace – and boy did it deliver.

A host of famous faces joined the revels alongside a cast of talented circus performers who brought to life The Ivy Circus in a huge Big Top at the heart of Spinningfields.

TV presenters Caroline Flack and Laura Whitmore, Corrie favourites Kym Marsh and Antony Cotton, singers Ella Eyre and Nicola Roberts and models Lara Stone and Neelam Gill were among the stars enjoying the revels on an incredible night of entertainment, live acts and music late into Friday night.

Real Housewives of Cheshire stars Seema Malhotra, Stacey Forsey, Dawn Ward and Hannah Miraftab were also spotted at the bash, alongside TV favourites Jenny Powell, Nikki Sanderson and our very own Rhian Sugden with her actor husband Oliver Mellor.

The Circus Super Party was organised by The Ivy to celebrate the reopening of the top floor roof garden, which has been closed since a huge fire there in January, and as a thank you to the people of Manchester for their support since the restaurant first opened in November.

Inside the Big Top were a series of high-octane acts, drummers, stilt walking clowns, knife throwers, hand balancing jugglers, contortionists, flying aerial performers, trapeze acts and of course, the restaurant’s very own Ringmaster.

All proceeds from The Ivy Circus were donated to The Fire Fighters Charity following their heroic management of the rooftop fire in January. The Fire Fighters Charity helps to rescue the rescuers, supporting them when they need it most.

Throughout the evening, the Spinningfields restaurant also hosted a party across all three of its floors. With live music, DJs and carnival dancers, each floor was transformed into a visual spectacular, including a carnival in the Ivy Brasserie, cabaret in Ivy Asia and a botanical party in the Roof Garden.

The Roof Garden will re-open to the public from Monday, 15th April.
