MCR Student Social is back this month offering fun, freebies and huge discounts.

It’s Manchester’s biggest student shopping night and it’s back with more than 160 designer, high street and independent stores across the city offering up to 30% off exclusively for students. Even better than that, there’s up to 50% off food in a range of locations.

Be prepared for a party on Market Street from the Capital FM DJs, and watch out for Matt & Phreds Heavy Beats Brass Band who’ll be making their way through the city centre to entertain the crowds.

Students can make the most of over 160 exclusive offers across the city centre for one night only, as well as enjoying live entertainment, amazing food and loads more activities – including the Manchester Tart Eating Contest with I Love MCR®.

Think you could you eat a Manchester tart with your arms behind your back in less than 30 seconds? There’s only one way to find out. Just sign the waiver, get stuck in and you could win an official I Love MCR® t-shirt.

Make sure you join us on Tuesday 25th September from 4-9pm on Market Street for this year’s event . We’ll be confirming this year’s list of exclusive offers very soon. Find all the action on Market St, Manchester Arndale, St Ann’s Square, New Cathedral St, Exchange Square, King St and Deansgate.

MCR Student Social is organised by Manchester Arndale and Manchester’s Business Improvement District, the Heart of Manchester BID, in collaboration with Capital Manchester and I Love MCR®.

Manchester is a successful city, but there are many people that suffer. The I Love MCR Foundation helps raise vital funds to help improve the lives and prospects of people and communities across Greater Manchester – and we can’t do it without your help. So please donate or fundraise what you can because investing in your local community to help it thrive can be a massively rewarding experience. Thank you in advance!
