Stan Chow and Tattu join charity line up to celebrate Manchester’s amazing East and Southeast Asian restaurants

And wow, we are spoiled for choice for amazing food.

The dinner is raising funds for Eat Well MCR – the non-profit that provides chef made meals to people in need in Manchester.

Iconic Manchester Artist Stanley Chow is joining the line up, along with Tattu, the amazing Luxury Chinese restaurant.

Attendees can expect a delicious blend of sushi and sashimi, some ‘next-level’ dim sum, fresh zingy salads, umani-rich ramen, fiery aromatic curry and platters of fragrant rice.

And lots, lots more, including a rich selection of deserts.

Tickets are just £65 each, including a welcome cocktail.

Originally due to be held in September, the death of HRH Queen Elizabeth meant the date was pushed back to November 30th, which has provided an opportunity to update the line up.

Ricky Yip, co-owner of Hello Oriental said of the event: “It’s a fantastic opportunity to celebrate the food from across this region and showcase a small slice of what’s on offer in Manchester.”

Here’s the full line up:

Neon Tiger – A new urban drinking space serving rural Thai barbecue in the city.

Hello Oriental – Hosts Hello Oriental offer uncensored authentic East Asian street food across three storeys.

Tattu – Fusing traditional flavours, modern methods & exquisite presentation producing contemporary Chinese food.

New Wave Ramen – Nominated best food trader at the Manchester Food and Drink awards, for their umami-rich ramen bowls served at Mackie Mayor.

Tampopo  – One of the originals to bring East Asian street food to Manchester, Tampopo have been delighting customers for 25 years with their fresh flavours from East Asia.

Rice Over Everything – The Burmese born home cook known for her incredible chilli oils with focus on flavours with heat.

Funds raised from ticket sales will help provide meals to people in need across Greater Manchester via Eat Well MCR charity.

Eat Well MCR is a collective of Manchester-based chefs that provide meals to people living in challenging circumstances.

The social enterprise was founded by Manchester chef and restaurateur Mary-Ellen McTague in April 2020 in response to the pandemic.

Eat Well MCR has now provided 70,000 meals across Greater Manchester.

Eat Well MCR partners with grassroots organisations, delivering meals to families experiencing homelessness, women taking refuge in sheltered accommodation, parents of children staying in hospital, food banks, and schools supporting families affected by food poverty.

Eat Well MCR are now raising funds to hit the next milestone: 100,000 meals for Manchester.

The event will take place on Wed, 30 November 2022, 19:30 – 22:30 at Hello Oriental (Symphony Park Circle Square Manchester M1 7FS)
