Founded by Manchester brothers Adam and Drew Jones, PU has built a reputation for delivering immersive dining concepts that blend exceptional cuisine with unforgettable atmospheres.
They own Louis, Fenix and Tattu in Manchester, firmly established as some of the city’s favourite places to eat out.
Permanently Unique

Since launching in 2015, the independent hospitality group has expanded across the UK with restaurants in London, Leeds, Birmingham, and Edinburgh. Now, the team is preparing to make its mark on Dubai’s luxury dining scene with the opening of its flagship modern Asian restaurant, Tattu.
As part of this expansion, PU has announced two key leadership appointments.

Andrew Jobes has been named chief operating officer for the GCC region, bringing more than 20 years of experience in global hospitality.
Having previously worked with Fundamental Hospitality, Tao Group, and Hakkasan Group, Jobes has overseen operations across 70 venues in over 20 markets worldwide. His expertise will guide PU’s entry into the competitive Middle Eastern market.
Dan Purnell from Permanently Unique

PU’s longstanding managing director, Dan Purnell, has stepped into the role of CEO. Purnell’s extensive career in luxury hospitality includes time as beverage master at Burj Al Arab and consulting for brands like Hakkasan, Hilton Worldwide, and Lone Star Barbados.
He played a pivotal role in transforming Grantley Hall into a world-class dining venue and has been instrumental in PU’s post-pandemic resurgence. PU founder Adam Jones credits Purnell’s leadership for uniting the business under a shared vision and preparing the group for global expansion.
Permanently Unique’s Manchester Restaurants
PU is home to three distinct restaurant brands: Tattu, known for its contemporary take on Asian cuisine; Fenix, a modern interpretation of Greek-Mediterranean dining; and Louis, a nostalgic tribute to 1950s New York, blending Italian-American flavours with live music.
Dubai will be home to Tattu’s first international outpost, a fitting choice for a restaurant renowned for its high-end dining and dramatic, design-led interiors. Tattu Dubai will occupy the top three floors of the highly anticipated Ciel Tower, located on the edge of Dubai Marina, offering breathtaking skyline views when it opens later this year.
As Manchester’s favourite restaurants prepare to make their international debut, the PU team remains committed to delivering the same innovative, experience-led dining that has made them a staple in the UK hospitality scene.
