Following a sell-out success in 2021, Estrella Galicia’s Gastronomy Month is returning this September for an even bigger and better second year.

The month-long exploration of Spanish gastronomy is coming to locations across the UK and Ireland at over 90 of the nation’s best loved Spanish pubs, bars and restaurants.

This year, consumers will be able to book an even wider variety of unique experiences to suit all budgets and occasions, including tapas tours, intimate masterclasses and exclusive tasting menus.

These include tapas tours at Manchester’s Spanish hotspots, El Rincon de Rafa, La Bandera and Evuna Deansgate

Caroline Martins, head chef at Manchester’s Sao Paulo, has also been named an official Estrella Galicia Chef Ambassador for 2022.

Inspired by her home country, Caroline’s cooking focuses on Brazilian fine-dining infused with British cuisine.

Starting her culinary journey on MasterChef Brazil, Caroline moved to Manchester in 2020 and now leads her own restaurant, Sao Paulo, which holds residency in Blossom Street Social and has represented the North-West on Great British Menu

Manchester guests can experience an authentic taste of Spain through a unique tasting menu by Caroline at Sao Paulo as part of the festival, offering traditional Spanish dishes with influences.

And over in Hale, hosted by head chef Gustavo Marin, El Olivo’s tasting menu promises Spanish cuisine with a modern twist; the dishes taking inspiration from Gustavo’s wealth of experience at Michelin-starred restaurants across Spain.

Other offerings include Estrella Galicia’s ‘Beer and a Bite’ initiative, whereby diners at select venues can visit at any time to enjoy an Estrella Galicia beer perfectly paired with a delicious tapas dish.

These include Sao Paolo, La Bandera, and El Rincon de Rafa in Manchester, and El Olivio and The Embassy in Hale.
