Top Manchester venues are fighting challenging economic headwinds by unlocking the voice of the ‘happy yet silent majority.’

Hotels, restaurants, and bars are vying for customer attention in a city where competition is stiff. What’s more, getting people through the door during a cost-of-living crisis is proving challenging while businesses are trying to maintain reputation.

Harnessing the voice of satisfied customers seems crucial to attracting new customers and revenue. According to Podium, 93% of consumers say online reviews have an impact on their buying decision, yet 95% of satisfied customers will never leave a review. What’s more, people are busy and just feel they do not have the time but 77% of people would be willing to leave a review if asked.

Now Manchester based tech start-up company Review Evolution is helping hotels, restaurants and bar owners capture verified customer reviews instantly while customers are on site.

The ‘OneRevo Card’ is a location-based module that enhances a business’ online presence by instantly publishing and boosting verified customer reviews. Founded by startup tech company Review Evolution Distribution Ltd, the device is proving to improve star ratings, and ultimately increase sales revenue.

Customers can leave a verified review instantly at point of purchase, point of stay and or point of experience on leading consumer review websites including Google, TripAdvisor, Facebook and Instagram.

OneRevo Card has already proven transformational for a good few Manchester venues, including The Laundrette in Chorlton…

“We have been number one in Manchester on TripAdvisor for three years now,” says Jon Charles, founder of The Laundrette.

“We work extremely hard at it, ensuring we give amazing food and service every time. Every one expects to have a good meal – that’s just standard – so you really need to encourage people to leave a good review.

“I would say most people who have a bad experience write a review but only 5% of people who have a good experience leave a good review.

“That’s why they need to be encouraged. This device helps as it makes it far quicker and easier to get to our page on trip advisor for the customer. Just tap and it’s there!”

The digital solution means no more cringy customer surveys, printing paper QR codes or sending ‘send and hope’ emails to past customers.

“I chose OneRevo Card because I could not find a location based digital gateway for Tampopo customers to write and publish their reviews instantly on leading consumer review websites,” says Tampopo founder, David Fox.

“OneRevo card doesn’t require customer sign-in, or app download we’ve seen a material uplift in published verified customer reviews using OneRevo card.”

While Stephanie Mciver, the General Manager at The Refuge Kimpton Clocktower Hotel, values “the power of genuine and authentic reviews from real people and real customers.”

She says “it’s important to make leaving reviews easy, in the moment and while the experience is still fresh in the customers mind, more recent reviews are more trustworthy and current.

“OneRevo Card has materially enhanced our staff/customer review experience. The decision on using OneRevo Card was made quickly, within a couple of days of piloting as user feedback from staff and customers was compelling.”
