With three stores across the suburbs of Greater Manchester, The Epicurean is famous for its vast and carefully selected collection of bottles and cans and expert knowledge on all things beer.

The brand’s first city centre store, which opened in Ancoats at the weekend, stocks over 500 beers from both local and international breweries including Track Brewery, Pomona Island Brew Co, DEYA Brewing Co and Verdant.

From the purist German lagers, which are said to inflict less of a hangover, to limited edition collaboration ales, there’s a beer for everyone in this new neighbourhood store, say owners.

The stock list also includes vegan beers, gluten-free beers, non-alcoholic beers – and even beers for people who don’t like beer.

Known in Disbury, Chorlton and Heaton Moor as The Beer People, The Epicurean’s friendly, knowledgeable team are passionate in turning the pursuit of finding craft beer into an experience.

Using their expertise they source the latest beers from breweries across Manchester and the world, making recommendations by country, style and brewer.

They will be on hand in their newest branch to introduce beer connoisseurs to something unique, recommend something new to regular customers, acquaint non-beer drinkers with a bottle they’re sure to love, as well as helping gift givers find the perfect gift.

The business was founded by Simon Yarwood to bring craft beer appreciators the most enjoyable beers in a simple and unpretentious manner – and each beer is personally assessed by Simon or one of his team for its taste, aroma, visual appearance and how enjoyable it is to drink.

Making craft beer a more enjoyable experience is also the guiding principle for their Beer Club, which delivers the finest and freshest beers from the best new and established breweries.

The Epicurean Ancoats is open now on Henry Street, next door to Kerb Wine. For more information follow @TheEpicureanAncoats or visit theepicureanbeers.co.uk.
