Still deciding on the perfect location for a work Christmas party, family festive dinner or perhaps even Christmas Day dining?
Venture inside Manchester’s Rosso restaurant come November and December, and you’ll find the city’s most Christmassy venue to celebrate that festive event in seriously dazzling style.
The restaurant at the top of King Street has long been known for pulling out all the stops with its festive decorations.
And this year bosses are planning their biggest, boldest and best Christmas fit-out yet – with thousands of baubles and twinkling lights decorating the inside and outside of the venue. Expect the decorations to go live from early November.
The luxurious Spring Gardens restaurant, owned by Manchester United star Rio Ferdinand, has just released its full range of festive meal packages, with some nights already selling out – so you need to book soon to avoid disappointment.
For anyone booking a table of 7 or more diners, you can choose from the Christmas lunch menu at £25 for a three course daytime feast, or the three course Christmas dinner menu at £40 for evening parties throughout December and starting from the end of November.
The festive menus will also be available to groups of smaller sizes too, alongside the venue’s acclaimed a la carte offering which will still be on offer throughout November and December.
And as for Christmas Day itself? Well, Rosso is renowned for creating one of the most splendid festive dinners in the city. There are two sittings this year at 1pm and 4pm with a special celebration menu including mulled wine, priced at £95 per person.
The venue’s team of chefs have created a full new range of festive menus with the usual Italian twists to create something far beyond the traditional turkey roast dinner. For mains, think slow-roasted loin of Gloucestershire pork, roasted cod with a black garlic crumb or a wild mushroom and roasted squash wellington.
The evening menus also include one of Rosso’s signature steak options – a fillet served with porcini and blue cheese croquette.
But traditionalists will be pleased to hear that all of the festive menus do include a turkey option. This year it’s Tacchino In Stile Rosso – a turkey escalope with a chestnut and cranberry turkey meat ball served with a rich redcurrant gravy.
All festive menus will boast the venue’s spectacular Italian Christmas dessert confection – Albero Natalizio con cioccolato arancie e nocciole – a full-on chocolate and orange Christmas tree to tuck into.
