Manchester Gin is opening a brand new city-centre distillery this Autumn, and they’ve just revealed details behind the adjoining cocktail bar and restaurant.

Called Three Little Words, it will act as the sister venue to Manchester Gin’s Spirit of Manchester Distillery, located in the same row of Grade-II listed brick railway arches.

Situated on Watson Street, the bar will treat guests to a mix of classic and original gin-based cocktails with an evolving menu exploring the theme of love.

Split into five sections, it will traverse themes of Lust, Rapture, Devotion, Eternity and Ultimatum. On it, the bar team are aiming to create flavours that evoke each stage of love, moving from excitement and freshness through to darker, more intense flavours. Heady.

On the restaurant side, a fresh, seasonal food menu from ex-Evelyn’s chef Jimmy Carr will take inspiration from the botanicals that define the gins distilled on-site to give diners the perfect pairing experience.

Following the seasons, a menu of small and large plates promises to conjure up unique flavours.

There will be room for 110 covers in total, seating 70 in the contemporary restaurant and 40 in the luxurious cocktail bar next door.

“At Three Little Words, we want fresh flavours to come through in all of our dishes. As much as possible, all of our ingredients are locally sourced, and being in a city with such a rich culture and history, we’ve aimed to incorporate this into our varied menu,” said head chef Jimmy.

“This is the culmination of a life ambition for Jen and I. From the very first day we met, we talked about our dreams to open our own bar, so this feels like a huge milestone for us,” said Manchester Gin co-founder and master distiller Seb Heeley.

“We couldn’t have started this venture without the support of Manchester, so to be able to create 45 jobs and give something back to this amazing city means the world to us.”

The new bar and restaurant will officially be open from Sunday 15th September – although fans of the distillery can sign up to attend their soft launch party in advance.

Three Little Words will be open from 10am every day, until 12am Sunday – Thursday, and until 1am Friday and Saturday.
