Mamucium, the restaurant inside Hotel Indigo Manchester at Victoria Station, has unveiled a 3kg baked cheese feast, plus a decadent festive afternoon tea – served with the option of unlimited mulled wine or prosecco.

Perfect to enjoy whilst taking a break from festive shopping and the Christmas Markets.

Cheese lovers can feast on 3kg of baked French cheese surrounded by an array of freshly baked festive fruit and nut loaf, pigs in blankets tossed in honey and grain mustard, clementine spiced cranberry sauce, award-winning W H Frost crispy home cured pancetta, cox apples, rose grapes, Derby Hill Farm hand-made artisan salted butter and candied pecans.

One of the best things about the festive season is the abundance of cheese. Mamucium’s 3kg Cheesemas Fest is perfect to share between a party of 10-12 (or as a challenge for 1-2), priced at £59.95. It’s available daily between 12pm and 10pm, but must be booked 24 hours in advance and is subject to availability.

For a smaller (but equally as delicious) cheese treat, Mamucium will also serve baked Camembert, suitable for a party of four, also served with freshly baked festive fruit and nut loaf, pigs in blankets, clementine spiced cranberry sauce, crispy pancetta, cox apples, rose grapes, Derby Hill Farm hand-made artisan salted butter and candied pecans.

The baked Camembert is available daily from 12pm – 10pm, priced at £29.95 – no booking required but subject to availability.

But it’s not all about cheese. Taking inspiration from the classic afternoon tea, M Cafe’s in-house pastry chef, Morgan Mole, has created an extra special festive version, available daily from 12pm – 5pm.

Sweet treats showcase an array of classic festive flavours: coconut snowball macaron, gingerbread, chocolate and ambereno tart, brandy and cherry opera, and a clementine choux bun. The sweet treats are finished off with an afternoon tea staple – fluffy home-baked scones topped with Chantilly cream and served with an assortment of jams.

On the savoury tier, there’s roast turkey and cranberry mini oven bottoms, crayfish and prawn cocktail wrap, spiced Goosnargh egg mayonnaise finger sandwich, and open-topped rye bread sandwiches of soft cream cheese and Manchester Smokehouse salmon from the city’s only salmon smokery.

The afternoon tea is also served with a choice of either single origin coffee from Salford Roasters, or a selection of loose-leaf teas from Denton-based Tea from the Manor. For an extra festive touch,  guests can also add unlimited mulled wine or prosecco for an extra £10.

The festive afternoon tea will be served daily in M Cafe in Hotel Indigo from the 8th November 2019 – 1st January 2020. M Cafe also serves a Manchester-inspired afternoon tea priced at £14.95, and £25 to upgrade to bottomless prosecco.
