Kellogg’s has today announced a new cereal to brighten up breakfast: Strawberry & White Choc Coco Pops.
Made at Kellogg’s Manchester factory, the all-new pink Coco Pops combine the flavours of smooth white chocolate and juicy strawberries.
The new limited-edition cereal follows the successful release of White Choc Coco Pops in 2019, which saw more than three million boxes flying off shelves in the first six months alone.
Last summer, Kellogg’s also partnered with Manchester-based family-owned jam and peanut butter manufacturer, Duerr’s, to bring consumers a brand new Crunchy Nut Peanut Butter.
In 2017, Kellogg’s reduced sugar in Original Coco Pops by 40 per cent, and Kellogg’s say the new pink Coco Pops have 30% less sugar on average than other chocolate flavoured toasted rice cereals, with 6% of the reference intake of sugar per 30g serving.
And while the strawberry and white chocolate cereal contains no artificial colours or flavours, it will turn the milk pink, promise Kellogg’s.
Launching just in time for Valentine’s weekend, the new pink cereal will only be available for 12 months.
“We are thrilled to launch new Strawberry & White Choc Coco Pops, it took over 50 recipe trials before we achieved the tastiest mix of strawberry and white chocolate that turned milk the perfect pink,” says Harriet Oakes, activation brand manager from Kellogg’s.
‘’When we launched White Choc Coco Pops in 2019, they sold out in just a few days so we’re hoping Coco Pops fans will be just as excited to try the new flavour.
“We’re sure kids and grown-ups alike will enjoy bringing a bit of pink to their breakfast.”
Kellogg UK has been operating in Manchester since 1938, when it opened its Trafford Park based factory – now Europe’s largest cereal factory.
The limited-edition pink cereal retails at £2.99 for 480g and is available from all major supermarkets from Friday 12th February, for 12 months only.
