Manchester’s newest outdoor food and drink market, Escape to Freight Island, has had to close during national lockdown.
But that doesn’t mean the kitchens have had to close, too.
The team at Escape to Freight Island has now introduced Escape FROM Freight Island – their brand new home delivery and click-and-collect service.
The new service will be available from today, Friday 6th November at 5pm, and will run over the next few weeks.
Traders participating from today include Voodoo Rays, so you can tuck into their whopping 22” New York style pizzas at home.
You’ll also be able to order burgers from Patty Queen, including their signature double beef patties, fried chicken burgers, and Beyond Meat vegan burgers.
There are more vegan offerings from Plant Grill, as well as top tacos from Madre.
A collaboration between the teams behind Belzan Liverpool and Breddos Tacos, Madre’s traditional asado inspired tacos have proved immensely popular at Freight Island.
Specially curated for all your night-in plans, the independent wine shop Forever Changes will also be offering wine, cheese and meat packages ideal for two people or a group of four.
Think platters of cured meats and saucisson, top cheeses, plump olives and traditional baguettes.
And it’s not just food – you’ll also be able to get drink packages from the Platform Bar including cocktails, beer, wine and soft drinks.
Other traders will also soon be offering family/group packages as well, for all your feasting needs.
Joining the service from Monday 9th November are the much-loved Baratxuri, offering Spanish style ready-meals and Mi & Pho, offering authentic Vietnamese dishes.
Then Belzan Pasta Kitchen will be available from Friday 13th November serving up home meal kits.
Staying in just got a lot more appealing.
Escape from Freight Island launches today at 5pm and is available on Monday to Friday, from 5pm to 10pm; Saturday and Sunday, from 12pm to 10pm. Deliveries are within a 2-mile radius, plus Didsbury and Chorlton areas. You can order here.
