The speedy German street-food brand, Döner Shack, is due to open in Manchester Arndale this month.

And they’re offering free kebaps, for one day only, to celebrate their arrival.

The launch of the new flagship site is located in Halle Place, in the heart of the Arndale shopping centre, following the brand’s hit debut in Leeds Trinity Centre in 2019.

On Thursday 25th November, visitors to the new Arndale Döner Shack restaurant will be able to get their hands on free Berlin-inspired kebaps between 11am and 3pm to celebrate the Manchester launch. Follow Döner Shack’s Facebook and Instagram for details on how to claim.

“We can’t wait to introduce the people of Manchester to an authentic taste of the Berlin döner kebap filled with quality meats, fresh salad and our delicious signature sauces,” said Sanjeev, co-founder and managing director of Döner Shack.

“We feel incredibly excited to be opening in Manchester Arndale and understand, now more than ever, that people don’t want to compromise when it comes to quality, taste and their dining experience.”

Alongside döner, chicken shawarma and freshly baked artisan bread, there will also be currywurst, halloumi, falafel and vegan schnitzel all priced between £6-£9, with a selection of milkshakes, German soft drinks, and beers on the menu.

Döner Shack sets to challenge the status quo of kebabs in the UK by serving unrivalled and ethically sourced ingredients with convenience and speed, says the restaurant.

The döner contains twice the amount of lean meat you’d find in a British kebab, they say, with no artificial fillers or excessive oils.

Only free-range, gluten-free chicken thigh meat is used in the shawarma, and it is the only UK fast-casual restaurant to offer a selection of authentic German currywurst.

“We want to change people’s perceptions of the kebab and for our lean high-quality kebaps to become an everyday option for eating out,” said Sanjeev.

“Whether that’s a snack while shopping, a quick grab and go during a busy lunch break or a fun evening with a group of friends.

“It’s time for a new generation of street food and we’re thrilled to be leading the way.”

Döner Shack will be open in Manchester Arndale for all day dining, take-away, delivery and click & collect from 25th November.
