Christmas 2020 may look different for most of us – but it’s definitely not cancelled at Great Northern.

The venue’s local businesses are all going the extra mile to make sure this year is as magical as ever when it comes to food, drink and festive gifts.

Alex’s Bakery has pulled out all the stops to get you in the festive spirit, serving up Christmassy treats to take away.

You’ll find cute Rudolph cupcakes, festive afternoon tea, festive paninis, mince pies, gingerbread biscuits, gingerbread cakes, ginger lattes and more.

Dormouse Chocolate is the perfect place to grab those stocking fillers and treat your loved ones to its fabulous selection of award-winning bean to bar luxury chocolates

Brand new flavours include the delicious Madagascar toasted white bar.

Spanish restaurant Evuna is bringing the festive cheer to you by delivering food, drink and wine tasting experiences this Christmas.

With a tapas selection box for just £15.00, a wine tasting experience with sommelier for £20pp, great offers on its cases of delicious organic wine and gift vouchers available, it’s the perfect place to help you get into the festive spirit.

Meanwhile, Manchester’s favourite Polish restaurant Platzki is serving up a traditional Polish Christmas feast that it’ll deliver to your doorstep.

The eatery is also taking bookings for families to spend Christmas and Boxing Day with their loved ones at the restaurant, promising to make sure it’s a Christmas to remember with a special menu on offer.

If you haven’t been yet, Holy Grain has teamed up with The Crafty Cheese Man and Julian Pizer, former executive chef at Edinburgh Castle, to create 3Hands Deli

Here you can stock up on an incredible range of delicious cheeses, chutneys and other treats, as well as grab yourself some lunch to take away. The sandwiches are the stuff of dreams.

You can also treat yourself to a delicious takeaway burger from Almost Famous – or try getting creative and making one yourself with a home delivery kit.

Orders are flying out for the ‘Famous at Home’ recipe boxes, which include everything you’ll need to make a juicy AF burger in your own kitchen.

There’s even a special Christmas burger, called Miracle on 2020 Street. But you’ll have to be quick, as the kits are selling out fast.

Or treat yourself to some tasty Thai treats, as Siam Smiles Café is back open for takeaways from 11th December.

Hopeful that the city will be moving into Tier 2 for Christmas, Great Northern looks forward to welcoming back its much loved Casino, Manchester 235, Odeon cinema for some festive films, and Impossible bar for a (much needed) drink.

Bar Hütte will also be providing some festive cheer with cocktails and delicious pizzas on Great Northern Square.

When it comes to stylish homeware, you’ll find the perfect gift for your interior obsessed loved ones at Futon Company, which reopened its doors on Wednesday 2nd December and have promised guaranteed pre-Christmas collection and delivery on orders.

And while you’re shopping, don’t forget to get all those smaller gifts posted to your loved ones near and far. Mail Boxes Etc have got it covered for all your worldwide parcel deliveries, courier or postal service needs.

Christmas shopping stressing you out? The Life Centre are hoping to be back open by 16th December (tier system permitting) and is the perfect place to unwind.

Let go of your worries and have a bit of festive ‘me time’ with yoga classes suitable for all abilities.

Or why not start your New Year’s resolutions super early and head down to The Gym, which has reopened just in time for Christmas?

The home of fitness fanatics is inviting you to ‘press the me-set button’ with a free two-week gym pass.
