A new £8.5m hotel with spa and golf resort in Cheshire has finally opened after lockdown restrictions pushed back the eagerly-anticipated launch.
The Tytherington boasts 65 bedrooms and is set in the striking grounds of the popular Tytherington Golf and Country club near Macclesfield.
When Cheshire was placed into Tier 2 restrictions after the end of the national lockdown on December 2nd, it meant the state-of-the-art new building was finally able to open to guests, and is now planning a busy festive run in with bookings now being taken into 2021.
All guests staying at the plush new-build hotel have access to the restaurant and bar at the neighbouring Tytherington club as well as its premium health and fitness facilities, swimming pool, luxury day spa and 18-hole championship golf course.
The venue’s restaurants include the family-friendly Pulse bar with children’s menu and a range of small and large plates and fresh-made pizzas.
It has become the eighth hotel from The Club Company, which operates 15 country clubs and luxury holiday cottages across the UK.
Jamie McDonald, who has 30 years’ experience running some of the finest resorts in the north west, is General Manager of the new hotel, which has created more than 30 new jobs for local people.
He says: “We are delighted to finally open The Tytherington in what has been a very difficult year. With demand for staycations soaring, we believe there will be strong demand for a premium hotel in the area.
“It’s the perfect base for a golf or spa break or for exploring Cheshire and the stunning Peak District.
“The safety of our guests and our team is paramount. We have put rigorous safety and cleaning procedures in place to ensure the hotel is COVID-secure and are already taking bookings.”
