Two of Manchester’s best Thai restaurants are celebrating the country’s Songkran festival in style next month – including the chance to win a holiday to Thailand.
Thaikhun, based on Spinningfields, is offering anyone dining there during Thai New Year weekend (10th – 14th April) the chance to win the prize of two return flights to Thailand.
Anyone eating at Chaophraya across the same weekend will be in with a chance to win a Private Thai Cooking Experience for six guests.
The Songkran festival is celebrated in Thailand as the traditional New Year’s Day, running from 13 to 15 April.
Friends and family members get together to pay their respects to their elder relatives, teachers, bosses, and to ask for blessing. Songkran is also known as a water festival, as the country takes advantage of April being the hottest month of the year by holding mass water fights and street parties that can last up to a week.
The water is believed to wash off all misfortunes from the past year, welcoming the New Year with a fresh new start.
Visit Thaikun and Chaophraya during the special weekend for the chance to win two great prizes – and not a water pistol in sight.
