New Starts on New Year’s Day

This initiative, rooted in the values of service ingrained in the Islamic faith, highlights AMYA’s unwavering dedication to fostering cleaner and more welcoming neighbourhoods.

Aqeel Mushtaq, Regional President of AMYA North West, shared his thoughts on the initiative, stating, “New Year’s Day provides a splendid opportunity to start the year positively by giving back to our cherished local communities.

“Our street cleaning endeavors not only enhance aesthetics but also aim to inspire community pride.”

AMYA’s annual New Year’s Day Street clean-up campaign is aligned with Islamic teachings, emphasising the importance of cleanliness as an integral part of faith.

It underscores the significance of actively contributing to society and the country one resides in, echoing the principles taught by Prophet Muhammad.

The worldwide leader of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, Caliph Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad, encourages the youth to actively engage in community service, become productive members of society, and dispel negative stereotypes through positive efforts.
