There’s a new steak restaurant in Manchester providing diners with a hot new way of dining out.
The Stone Grill offers a unique experience where diners cook their own steaks on volcanic hot stones. diners can choose from fish, meat or halloumi and veg.
There’s lots to choose from for carnivores including hefty cuts of rump, sirloin and ribeye (available solo or as a meat platter), lamb rump, tuna steak, fillet medallions or surf and turf with juicy king prawns.
The stones are stored in ovens at 480 degrees all day and 350 degrees at night and come out HOT. Diners use them to cook everything to their exact liking.
All dishes come served with the choice of chunky chips, jacket potato or salad with options like sweet potato fries. Dauphinois potatoes or seasonal vegetables cost an additional £1.50.
If you’re feeling extra peckish, starter options include Jenga cut halloumi fries, salt and pepper squid, or sticky chipotle glazed chicken.
Desserts include crowd-pleasing favourites like warm chocolate fudge cake and salted caramel roulade.
And for anyone who’d rather leave the cooking at home, mains include a range of exotic double patty burgers, beef chilli or asparagus and broad bean risotto.
The restaurant, on Liverpool Road at the Deansgate end of Castlefield, will be The Stone Grill’s second. The first opened in a Blackpool hotel in 2014 before expanding to a new stand alone home on Queens Promenade in 2017.
It’s proved incredibly popular there and now they’re trying their luck in Manchester.
