Cancer is the leading cause of death in children in the UK.
Kidscan is a small local Salford-based charity that helps to fund research into cancer treatment specifically designed for children. It’s one of the only charities in the UK solely dedicated to combating children’s cancer. They want to ensure every child diagnosed with cancer survives and thrives through to adulthood.
Pendlebury trampoline park Bounce Central UK has over 110 trampolines creating a giant bounce area and a fantastic on-site cafe to watch the fun from, no matter what age or ability.
They are teaming up with Kidscan to bring you BounceFest, an amazing day for families whilst raising money for an incredible charity at the same time.
Join in fantastic family fun from Bounce Got Talent, an open mic singing competition for children, and a hot dog eating competition for adults featuring Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue. They’re used to handling hot stuff – but how will they cope with a mountain of hot dogs?
Enjoy the Bounce BBQ and face painting, kids trampoline fitness classes with an expert instructor, raffles, lucky dips and competitions throughout the day as well as demonstrations by local organisations including Lancashire Hawks and Owls and Aqua Lease, with the entire event MC’d by Carl Royal from Salford City Radio.
“Bounce Central is a family-run business and we have a passion for putting smiles on the faces of our customers, especially children,” said James Fearn, general manager of Bounce Central UK.
“Cancer touches us all in one form or another and to think that it can devastate the most vulnerable amongst us makes it even more tragic. If we can contribute to Kidscan to help the scientists in putting a smile on a young face, then we will put everything we can into making BounceFest a big success.
“We would love your help to raise as much money as possible for this wonderful charity. Please join us on the day or help in any way you can. Each small battle won is a victory against cancer.”
“We are delighted to be partnered with Bounce Central UK who will be hosting a fantastic Family fun day in aid of Kidscan!” said Alison England from Kidscan.
“We are a small charity and rely on the generosity of the public, businesses and volunteers to support us. This event will be wonderful for the local community and a great way to raise vital funds so we can continue the research in to finding better and safer treatments for children with cancer.”
Sunday 4 August, 11am – 4pm at Bounce Central, Unit 4, Labtec Street, Salford M27 8SE.
