With so many new restaurants opening in Manchester almost every day, there aren’t many that can claim to have been around for more than 30 years. Don Giovanni is one of them. It’s Manchester’s oldest, and one of its favourite, independently-owned Italian restaurants, and been serving fine Italian food since 1984.
Which is why the owners thought it was about time the Don had a bit of a makeover. So the restaurant closed last week for renovations.
The refurb isn’t anything too drastic. It’s still the same elegant place serving the same great food but with new windows, booths, tables, chairs and lighting to create a more comfortable and enjoyable dining experience.
New features include a fresh pasta and dessert station, where you will be able to watch the Don Giovanni master chefs create their signature dishes such as crab and lobster ravioli, tiramisu, and pannacotta from scratch.
Alongside relaxed lounge seating there’s a new prosecco bar and an Italian marble bar where you can enjoy cocktails from the new improved menu and award-winning wines with the opportunity to sample rare vintage bottles of boutique wines by the glass.
If you need something a little more private for a special occasion, the private dining room with polished French oak floor, full AV facilities and stunning duck feathered pendants can accommodate up to 50 guests.
To show their appreciation for your understanding while the restaurant is closed, Don Giovanni’s owners are offering 50% off your food bill from now until 10/9/15 if you book online using this link www.dongiovannis.co.uk/discount50
