From the return of their summer fairground, giant beach and splash park to Emergency Services Day, there’s something for everyone – as well as an exciting mix of shopping, dining and leisure activities for kids and the whole family.

Bright Lights, Big Fun at Trafford Centre

A beach in Manchester?!!?

26th July – 1st September Tickets £2.50 (advance) £3.50 (on gate)

Get ready for a spectacular summer as Trafford Centre’s beloved fairground returns with a new name and even more excitement!

Bright Lights, Big Fun promises a fun day out for the whole family, with attractions including a splash park, giant beach, delicious food trucks, and fairground rides galore.

Enjoy a massive 600 square metre beach, perfect for building sandcastles and soaking up the Manchester sun. Cool off at a giant splash park, equipped with multiple water jets for endless family fun.

Experience an adrenaline rush with over twenty thrilling rides, including Star Flyer, Zero Gravity and new for 2024, Freak Out and Pirate Ship. Rides for the little ones include Waterballs, Bumper Boats, and a large inflatable area to ensure fun for all ages.

Once you’ve built up an appetite, enjoy treats including ice cream, doughnuts, crepes,
burgers, and sweets.

Jurassic World

Friday, 2nd of August – November 3rd 2024 From £19

Experience the thrill of walking among life-sized dinosaurs as Jurassic World: The Exhibition heads to Manchester’s Trafford Centre.

The award-winning exhibition is stomping its way into the Trafford Centre from August 2nd.

Prepare to be wowed by new, life-sized dinosaurs in a thrilling, family-friendly exhibition.

This world-famous spectacle has already dazzled audiences in cities around the globe like Sydney, Toronto, Houston, Chicago, and Paris.

Now, it’s our turn to walk amongst these prehistoric giants!

This exhibition isn’t just for the big kids. Little ones can interact with adorable baby dinosaurs, including Bumpy from the hit animated series Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous, streaming on Netflix.

Chocolate Love Match at Hotel Chocolat

10th and 26th of August

Join Hotel Chocolat for a tasting journey through five of delicious recipes to reveal the flavour profile that’s right for you.

Each guided experience lasts 30 minutes, and you can book with up to three fellow chocolate lovers to share the chocolate happiness.

Get ready for an outdoor cultural extravaganza at the Halal Food Festival, where the culinary delights are just the beginning of the excitement!

With over 30 street food vendors serving up a smorgasbord of global delights, from  artisan Halal hot dogs to Korean corn dogs, from mouthwatering Katsu curry to irresistible Philly cheesesteaks and brisket, your palate is in for the ride of its life.

Summer Sing-Alongs @ The Orient

POP QUEENS, Thursday 15th & Thursday 29th August.

The cast of Pop Queens will perform an enchanting Family Sing-Along featuring the best hits from everyone’s favourite pop princesses! This lively and engaging event brings together iconic songs from beloved artists that both kids and adults adore. Audiences will be serenaded by the chart-topping tunes of pop sensations like Lizzo, Ariana Grande, and Selena Gomez, mixed with family-favourite Disney hits.

Show times are at  11am, 1pm, 2pm & 3pm.

TRIBUTE MEDLEY, Thursday 8th & Thursday 22nd August

A tribute to the biggest stars of the moment. With hits from the likes of Taylor Swift, Billie Eilish, and Sabrina Carpenter, this show is filled with music, dance, and fun, delivered in the style of a superstar’s Las Vegas residency performance. A high-end, family-focused alternative to a traditional tribute act, we will bring the bright lights of Vegas to the Trafford Centre in this all-singing, all- dancing, family-friendly experience.

Show times are at 5pm, 6pm, 7pm & 8pm

Zebedee Talent open casting call

Trafford Centre is thrilled to announce its groundbreaking collaboration with Zebedee Inclusive Talent Agency to discover the face of its upcoming fashion campaign on 12 July. The open casting call welcomes individuals with disabilities, visible differences, unique and alternative appearances, and those who are part of the LGBTQIA community. Winners will receive a prestigious contract with Zebedee Talent and star as the face of Trafford Centre’s upcoming autumn fashion campaign. Emergency Services Day

1st August

The North West’s biggest celebration of the emergency services is set to make a welcome return to the Trafford Centre. This FREE, family event will feature up to 100 vehicles, displays and demonstrations, giving a unique insight into the vast array of emergency services that save lives every day across the region. Find this event at Regent 13 Car Park from 10am – 4pm on 1 August.

Krispy Kreme launches new Friends™ themed doughnuts

Could we BE any more excited to share that Krispy Kreme has launched four new FRIENDS™ inspired doughnuts, to celebrate 30 years of the TV show? Each doughnut is a tribute to one of the most iconic TV shows of all time, inspired by favourite characters and episodes! Be quick, they’re only available until 21 July.

Bambino Pâtissier workshop at Haute Dolci

Every Thursday 25th July – 29th August, 3pm

These workshops offer a unique, hands-on experience where your child can become a little pâtissier for the day.

Participants can choose their base, toppings, favourite sauces, and gelato to create a personalised dessert masterpiece. After they’ve made their desserts, each child will receive a Bambino drink and a storybook titled “Raphael’s Sweet Adventure.”
