Take a look inside the latest glamorous new addition to Spinningfields – as Banyan Bar and Kitchen prepares to launch its second Manchester site.
Bosses of the all-day drinking and dining venue have created a sophisticated setting with dark brown leather booths, copper tables and bar surfaces and decadent lighting over the two levels at a prime location on Hardman Street.
Downstairs there is seating for over 110, while a DJ booth will bring the far end of the venue to life in the evenings, with a 2am license for Friday and Saturday nights.
Meanwhile the upper mezzanine level features a huge Empress gin bar lit in indigo neons, and will be available to book for private parties.
It’s the second Banyan in Manchester, after the successful launch of their first bar in the Corn Exchange. Bosses say they aim to capitalise on the different markets at either end of the city.
“This is set to be our biggest opening to date – with one of the most envious locations in the city, stunning fit out and amazing food and drink, we’re confident that Banyan Spinningfields will quickly establish itself as the must-visit bar and restaurant on the Manchester scene,” said Arc Inspirations boss Martin Wolstencroft.
“Our attention to detail and experience has been channelled into creating an amazing menu, signature cocktail list and atmosphere which will bring people back time and time again, we can’t wait to open our doors at the end of October and show the world.”
The kitchen will have two menus to take diners through the day, starting with a full breakfast and brunch menu featuring the likes of Crab and Avocado, and Eggs and Halloumi.
The main menu ranges from lighter bites such as the Yoga Bowl and the Bang Bang Chicken Salad to grill favourites like the Banyan Burger and the Rib Eye Steak and main meals such as Steak and Ale Pie.
Differentiating from its sister restaurant in the Corn Exchange, Banyan Spinningfields will also have a real focus on evening entertainment as the venue comes to life in the night time with the best DJs and live acts on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights with an upbeat mix of funk, soul and modern feel-good classics.
The venue opens with a launch party on Friday night, before opening fully to the public on Saturday.
It comes amid a busy time for Arc Inspirations, who earlier this month launched their first Manahatta bar on Deansgate – just around the corner from their new Banyan.
