Peter Hook & The Light will be returning to their home turf in December for a homecoming gig at Manchester Academy.

The band are currently in the middle of gigs in Holland and France, following a successful tour of America, Australia and New Zealand.

They are returning to the UK for a final set of dates in November and December, including an already sold out performance at London’s Roundhouse.

It’s seven-and-a-half years since the band headed up by Peter Hook, former bassist with and co-founder of New Order and Joy Division, made their debut at Factory Manchester.

The band, which includes former Monaco musician David Potts as well as Jack Bates, Paul Kehoe and Andy Poole, have received a huge amount of praise on the tour for their great chemistry, the huge range of hits they’ve played as well as their professionalism on stage.

Ticket holders for the Manchester gig will be able to dance and sing along to tunes from both Joy Division and New Order Substance compilations.

Released by Factory Records in 1987, Substance was one of New Order’s most influential albums and includes hits like True Faith and 1963.

The album of the same name released by Joy Division a year later was also successful and packed with hit singles that hadn’t made it on to previous albums.

Tickets to many of the UK gigs are selling out quick so you’ll need to get yours fast to have the chance to listen to their electric tunes live.

Tickets to An Evening with Peter Hook & The Light at Academy 1 on Friday, December 15 2017 can be purchased online here.
