ARUP was one of 25 Manchester-based businesses taking part in the fitness competition at Nuffield Health’s Printworks Fitness & Wellbeing gym, which tested the stamina and strength of their employees.

Each five strong team had to nominate a team member to complete one of five disciplines – a 200metre swim, 5km cycle, 1km row, 2.5km run and endurance wall sit. Bronze, silver and gold medals were awarded to the top three teams in each discipline and the overall top team.

This is the second year the gym has run the competition which is free to enter and open to both non-members and members. It’s the first time ARUP has entered.

The winning team was announced at a special awards night at Tiger Tiger with Sale Sharks rugby star Charlie Ingall presenting the medals and prizes which included free Nuffield Health Health Assessments, free personal training sessions, free gym membership and free physiotherapy treatments.

Nuffield Health Manchester Printworks business development manager Kenny Fletcher said: “This year was our biggest yet and the level of competitiveness and dedication was impressive. We had some strong teams this year with some amazing times. I have already had enquiries from companies wanting to enrol for next year which is great.”

Runners up were BLM Law, missing out on the top spot by only a few points.
