Vote for Manchester’s Matthew Soares in ‘Show Your Spirit’ Competition

Hilton Deansgate Manchester’s Matthew entered the competition ‘Show Your Spirit’ on the 19th of February with his idea of a a rum with the versatility of a gin.

The competition opened with a wealth of promising new spirit and liqueur entries from across Western Europe. Thousands of people entered their ideas and 4 people have been chosen to go through to the boot camp stage.

The 5th and final positon is a wildcard vote. There are 19 wildcards and Matthew needs to get as many votes as possible to go through. The voting started on the 15th of April and ends on Sunday 21st of April.

By 22nd April they will the wildcard winner and all five finalists will enter the Diageo Show Your Spirit Boot Camp held from 20th – 24th May. Once behind closed doors, they’ll get the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to perfect their ideas with innovation experts, craft their brand with leading packaging designers and develop their marketing skills with industry professionals – all under the watchful eye of their mentors.

Boot Camp will end on day five with a final round of judging, but only one spirit or liqueur will come out as the Show Your Spirit competition winner.

The prize is not only the production of your own product but also 5% of the profits for the first 5 years.
