Christmas at Pho Restaurant in Manchester’s Corn Exchange. With the festive season in sight and no doubt full of office dos, parties and family get-togethers, we may all need a pick me up the morning after when our heads are feeling fuzzy and going to work is the last thing we want to do.
Never fear, though, as Pho’s nutritious selections of soups are the ideal hangover cure after a long night out. Located in the newly renovated Corn Exchange, this Vietnamese street food restaurant cooks up a storm of authentic dishes.
“…the perfect
comfort food when
you’re feeling under
the weather or
hanging from last
night’s office party”
Its signature dish, Pho, is a fantastic steaming bowl of rice noodle soup served with a side plate of fresh herbs. The addition of these herbs and table condiments is an essential part of eating pho and adds another dimension to the dish – chilli paste for a kick, fish sauce for extra saltiness, garlic vinegar for sourness.
It’s the perfect comfort food for when you are feeling under the weather or hanging from last night’s office party, comes with a variety of different meats, fish, tofu or vegetables and is drenched in Pho’s specialty stock that takes 12 hours to make.
These dishes are low in fat and are bursting with essential vitamins and minerals that will aid in restoring and rejuvenating your body. They are also all gluten free and there is a bounty of vegetarian options to suit everyone’s tastes and needs. Low calorie, packed with goodness and perfect for a cold winter day-what’s not to love?
If you can’t face leaving the office or live too far away to pop into the restaurant itself, take advantage of their Pho-To-Go service that allows you to place your order over the phone and have it delivered straight to your door via Deliveroo.
No order is too small and you can also select one of their fresh juices to accompany your healthy meal.
The Corn Exchange restaurant is spread over three floors and consists of relaxing décor and seating areas so you can eat away your hangover in comfort and style. Don’t forget to try out their amazing cocktails (if you’re feeling up to it!) and wind down in their second storey bar area.
Pho is celebrating Christmas in grand Vietnamese style with traditional chicken Pho, bun noodles and Cari, a spicy Vietnamese curry. The Christmas menu comes in at £13.95 for two courses and £16.95 for three courses – a great value meal which is bound to leave you feeling fresh and healthy. Available from the 1st until the 24th December, Christmas bookings can be made online and require a £5 deposit per head.
