People of Manchester! How often have you wished that you could cycle down the Champs Elysees in yellow triumph, glorious side burns blazing?

The Tour de France infects millions with the unfounded idea that they too can face miles and mountains to become world’s toughest human.

Thanks to the guys at Forever Manchester, you can now have that very pleasure (with fewer miles and.no mountains), because on June 22 at 7am, the Tour de Manc will begin.

Not only will you be able to fulfil your dreams of cycling glory in your very own city, but you will also be raising money for people win Greater Manchester who really need it.

You will cover 80 miles and climb 6000 feet, burning, we are told, 4,500 calories! There is a booking fee, and competitors are expected to raise at least £300 each in order to take on the challenge of blood, sweat and gears.

Save the date: Sunday 22nd June 2014, 7am start
Where: Starts in Manchester City Centre
Price: £25 per person or £90 for a team of 4
Challenge: Can you raise a minimum of £300 for your efforts?

Every penny raised will go to the Greater Manchester community.
