Far too often have we seen Manchester’s glorious streets through the dubious haze of a million steaming cocktails from The Alchemist, pretending not to stumble as we make our way home. We can’t promise that your evening won’t end so in this instance, but we can promise that you’ll see Manchester at night in an entirely different way.
Manchester After Hours will hit town on May 15 with the Northern Quarter After Dark Festival.
The one-off nocturnal festival will take place all over the city on this fine Thursday evening, and in the Northern Quarter, will showcase art and music from the likes of Manchester Craft and Design Centre, Matt & Phred’s, The Bay Horse, Common and Madlab.
Events include an exhibition about manoeuvring the dark with Constant Sleepless Night at The Penthouse and a giant interactive sculptural projection by Matt Pyke at The Football Museum.
On May 15, the Northern Quarter will not sleep. Save the date.
