Manchester’s Hard Rock Café would like you to know about their new menu, and by way of our very happy stomachs, we are happy to relay their wish.
“never was there a better reason to combine carbs and alcohol”
Last week saw us meet with what is probably the friendliest kitchen team in Manchester to learn about their new menu. Greeted with a box meant for the bar but intriguingly popular at the dinner table, we are faced with a truly unique, why-didn’t-we-think-of-that idea.
Consisting of three miniature margaritas and a generous serving of homemade nachos with salsa (£9.25), the idea is to sample three of the five available in-house margarita mixes. Choose from cucumber, mango, watermelon, pomegranate and blue curacao, never was there a better reason to combine carbs and alcohol.
The jumbo combo appetiser is very attractive. We are told that vegetarians have been better catered for, with additions of bruschetta full of ‘very secret’ spices, panko bread crumbed onion rings upon which 2-3 hours of work are spent every weekend, and a spinach and artichoke dip with is probably the nicest concoction this side of the Pacific.
For the main meal, we are given portions the size of which one would only otherwise find in America: three new salads are joined by the guac-filled and spicy Fiesta Burger as well as the very cheesy, ‘Sloppy Joe’ Tango burger.
Fourteen months of in depth research has lead Hard Rock Café Manchester to the series of new items which conclude with an assembly of gigantic desserts. The Oreo cheesecake is our personal favourite, but check out the size of that hot fudge brownie sundae! And it’s meant for one…
Make sure you check also check out the Hard Rock Rising On The Road Truck Tour which will come through Manchester on 24th May between 6pm and 10pm between in Cathedral Gardens.
