Spinningfields’ popular summer bar, The Lawn Club, has unveiled a revamped new look in time for the sunshine – well in advance, it seems.
The venue closed its doors in January to make way for redevelopments in the Hardman Square area of Spinningfields, and operators Fluid Bars took the opportunity to create a new structure and interior for the popular haunt in partnership with Spinningfields developers Allied London.
‘Parasols, BBQs, wood burning stoves,
blankets, lawn games…’
Redesigns feature a private lawn where guests can play croquet, as well as a barbecue, private hire options and a new membership scheme.
The new food menu has once again been created by acclaimed chef David Gale, to include a host of gourmet treats as well as a newly-added Sunday roast, while the bar will continue to sell a range of cocktails, wines and spirits.
The new design, which nestles around the bar’s own elegant private lawn, will boast 3 balanced spaces leading from interior to exterior, all designed to capture the best of the British seasons.
Parasols, BBQs, wood burning stoves, blankets, lawn games, candle-lit evenings, take away lunches, gourmet picnic hampers, a membership scheme and complete private hire options are all on the menu in this new development for the independent bar.
The main bar will also house the open kitchen, a restaurant area known as the Orangery, a brand new decking area which will offer al fresco dining and table service, and of course the private lawn.
On sunny days, picnic hampers will be available so revellers can enjoy lunch on the lawn.
Bosses say there will also be a full programme of events – from lawn games such as croquet and Kubb, to cocktail masterclasses, food pairing evenings with guest chefs, to DJs and live music.
James Wrigley, Director of Fluid Bars, said: “This new incarnation is a natural progression for The Lawn Club. We enjoyed huge success last year, and worked hard to develop the food and drink offerings, events and indoor/outdoor space design to create something that wasn’t ‘just another bar’.
“Now, in partnership with Allied London, we’ve commissioned a new vision of The Lawn Club and we’re really excited to showcase the results.”
Let’s hope summer gets a wriggle on.
