Fresh from being named the third best pizza in Europe, a Manchester pizza restaurant can now lay claim to being among the best in the WORLD.
For Rudy’s pizza, which has restaurants in Ancoats and on Peter Street in the city centre, has been hailed the tenth best pizza in the world by global travel website Big 7.
The entry gushes about Rudy’s signature fresh-baked pizzas, and says it is now considered among the best in the UK.
It writes: “Many regard Rudy’s Pizza as the best pizza in England: talk to serious pizza connoisseurs and they’ll tell you it’s as good as anything you’ll ever taste.
“They’ve moved onto their second premises in Manchester on Peter Street and also expanded to Liverpool. None of the quality is lost as they grow, which is a real testimony to their excellence.”
Rudy’s nestles in a top 10 list that includes many of the most famous pizzerias across the globe – including L’Antica Pizzeria da Michele in Naples which sits at number two, and Space Napoli in Illinois which tops the list.
Rudy’s started life in Ancoats, opening on Cutting Room Square in 2015 by Jim Morgan and Kate Wilson who followed the traditions of pizza from its birthplace of Naples.
It swiftly grew a reputation that regularly saw queues out of the door – and the second venue followed in 2018 on Peter Street, next to Albert Hall.
