From street food trucks to late-night hot dog stands, family-run pizzerias and fine-dining food experiences, it goes without saying that New York City’s food scene is one of the best in the world.

Six By Nico serves a completely new six course menu every six weeks.

Following the success of its chippy tea and Mexican six-course menus, the Spring Gardens restaurant will be taking inspiration from the Big Apple for its latest offering, which launches on 1st October.

Priced at £29 for six courses, the New York City menu starts with Beef Burger Doughnuts, followed by an elegant-sounding Eggs Benedict made with smoked ham hough terrine, quails egg and brown butter hollandaise.

The NY Fall consists of partridge roulade with mushroom duxelle, parsley emulsion and truffle, while a Clam & Cod Chowder is made with barbecued leeks, lemon gel and roasted corn.

A cleverly-named Flatiron Building main course is all about flat iron steak, with Jerusalem artichoke, lovage emulsion and a crisp croquette made with slow-cooked brisket.

The meal ends with The Big Apple, of course – a New York cheesecake with apple compote and roasted hazelnuts.

There will be a vegetarian alternative available for every course, as well as New York inspired snacks.

“Encapsulating various elements of the city’s enchanting charm, from its glistening skylines to the decadence of Broadway, our upcoming menu aims to transport guest’s taste buds to the city that never sleeps,” says chef Nico Simeone about the new menu.

“Our team have created a tasting menu that will see our guests eat their way through the bustling city of dreams, one bite at a time.”

New York City runs from Tuesday 1st October until Sunday 10th November 2019 at Six By Nico, Spring Gardens. The menu is priced at £29 per person with the option to add a wine pairing for £26.
