Manchester Pride - Gay Village Party event

Manchester is gearing up for one of the biggest bank holiday parties of the year, Manchester Pride.

The main event kicks off on Friday afternoon and continues all through the weekend, but there’s plenty going on already for those of you who haven’t bagged yourself a ticket this year or prefer a smaller crowd.

Manchester Pride proudly takes over the city for one weekend a year, and with so much going on in such a short space of time you don’t want to miss a thing.

We’ll be celebrating right along with you and these are the events that have caught our eye already.

Scene film screenings

Some of the hottest theatre and arts venues in Manchester teamed up with Scene, to host film screenings and events that celebrate queer stories.

HOME, Factory International and other venues across Manchester City Centre hosted the TV, screen and stage performances and Q&A sessions from LGBTQ+ writers and storytellers.

Factory International

One of Manchesters newest venues on the scene is Factory International.

Championing queer theatre year round, they pulled out all the stops for the film festival, collaborating on a celebration of all things camp, queer and fun by a hosting a night of music, cabaret and performances on Wednesday 21st of August.

Continuing on through to September with a full line-up of live events.
