Parklife 2019

With the prospect of some sunshine over Heaton Park on Sunday, revellers took full advantage as they headed out to celebrate day two of the huge Parklife Festival 2019.

The outfits were even more daring than Saturday’s opening event, with fishnet bodystockings, hot pants and bra tops among the most popular female fashions.  Many chose to brave the elements without the ubiquitous ponchos, braving the odd rain shower along the way.

While the weather was not entirely kind for Sunday’s second and final day, Mancunians were resolutely keeping up the party spirit for a packed programme of live music and entertainment across the 9 stages at this year’s festival.

More than 80,000 people headed out to Heaton Park to hear the likes of Stockport band Blossoms, American singer Solange and chart-topping star George Ezra perform across the stages on Sunday.

Standout sets also came from DJ Gilles Peterson on the G Stage and singer Mabel who brought her troupe of dancers all in matching shades of blue on the main stage.

The event came to a close at around 11pm after the headline set of Shotgun star George Ezra on the main stage, and the traditional firework finale.

But for organisers thoughts naturally already turn to next year – and how to make Parklife 2020 top that!
