Beaumont Organic, founded by Hannah Beaumont-Laurencia, is a trendy boutique promoting ethical and sustainable fashion, challenging industry norms with its commitment to authenticity, ethics, and sustainability.
And they have just got a huge nod of approval from the Telegraph, who voted the much-loved shop as one of the ‘The Greatest Boutiques in Britain’.
Hannah, a born and bred Mancunian, established the shop in 2008, driven by her discomfort with the fashion industry’s practices.
Drawing from her insider’s understanding of fashion and her acute ethical consciousness, she created a sanctuary where fashion intertwines with ethical consciousness.
What did the Telegraph have to say?
Coming in at 34 on the list, the Telegraph was highly complimentary of Beaumont Organic.
As chosen by ‘fashion insiders’, they wrote: “This cosy space in a Victorian townhouse is the home of Beaumont Organic’s pared back collection and a small selection of tasteful homewares and accessories, says Alyson Walsh, founder, thatsnotmyage.com.”

We caught up with Hannah, to speak about the recognition and what Beaumont Organic has planned for the future.
She said: “It’s been a real honour, I’ve known and read about the Telegraph’s top boutique list almost since we started the shop.
“I always used to buy the paper when that article was featured and go through it, searching for other brands would be a great fit for us.
“To be recognised there as a top UK indie boutique is a huge privilege. It’s so nice someone has taken the time out to choose us!
“Creating the store to be a very homely, inviting place takes a lot of time. It doesn’t happen immediately. Having a great team helps, and we’ve got a brilliant one.
“The product collation has taken time, but we think we’ve got a lovely selection now. We’ve stayed true to our brand values of sustainability, and strong ethical principles and that translated through our products.
“It’s at the core of everything we do. Everything we buy has a history.
“We know where everything has been made and the history behind those products, and we share that story with our customers.
“People can relate to these products and they can feel connected to it.
“Hopefully they will take these things home and look after them, and enjoy them.”

Looking forward, Beaumont Organic has teamed up with ‘Stitched Up’ – whose ethos of repair and reuse is perfectly aligned with theirs.
Hannah said: “An important part of our business is to care for your clothes and repair them. Stitched Up can show you how to do that.
“We have a series of events planned where people can learn how to repair, adapt and fix issues with their clothing, and learn some really valuable skills.”
